What kind of name is "Tree"? The name "Tree" was given to me a long time ago by a dear friend. I think it was an accident, really, that it came out as Tree when he meant to say "Terri" or "Teresa". But as "accidents" go, the name really clicked and I've been Tree ever since. Who is Tree, really? I have no idea! Fortunately, I've been given an entire lifetime (or more) to figure it out. When I packed up all my belongings and moved to the mountains on a self-discovery quest, my mother gave me a wooden plaque to hang on the front door of my cabin that said, "Gone to find myself. If I return before I get back, please keep me here." Perhaps that can answer your question better than I. Who writes "The Daily Dose" entries? I do. If I quote someone else, I'll give them due credit. Speaking of "The Daily Dose," what happened to it? Why is it now called "The Not-So-Daily Daily Dose"? When I started this website years ago, I loved the idea of inspiring others daily. I still do, however, I found that I didn't always feel inspired to write a daily dose every single day. Some days I leaped out of bed excited with a new thought to share. Other times, it was like pulling teeth and I couldn't wait to write something, anything even remotely inspiring, so I could get on with my day. I realized that if I, myself, wasn't inspired to write something, how could my writing be inspiring to others? And how could I inspire people to do what they love when in the moment of writing the very phrase, "do what brings you joy," I was doing something that wasn't bringing me joy. So I decided to listen to my own inspiration, my own Daily Dose, and do what brings me joy. So now, I only write a Daily Dose when joy compels me to it. And when you read a Daily Dose, you can rest assured that my words are always infused with meaning and come straight from my own source of inspiration. What do you do for a living? Breathe. No, seriously. I am serious. Ok, who is your employer? God. No, seriously. I am serious. Does that mean you're a preacher or minister or something? No. It simply means that God is my source of all things. No matter which profession I choose or who signs my paychecks, my real source of income is generated in the spiritual realm, not on the physical plane. It is merely manifesting abundance through the company or individual who hands me the funds. Why are you so special to have such a giving source and the rest of us have to work so hard for a living? If you are a living, breathing human being, you too have the same source. There is only one source. And it belongs to all of us, because we are all one. All this we-are-one-God-is-the-source talk is a little... well...out there, don't you think? Perhaps that belief is why you work so hard for a living. Do you really talk like this all the time? I mean, don't people look at you weird? Talk like what all the time? And yes, some people do look at me weird. And that is ok too. What religion are you? I don't claim any particular religion as my own. I take truth wherever I see it. Whether it comes from the Holy Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, the Qur'an, or The Book of Pooh. Doesn't matter to me. Truth is truth no matter which text it is in or which church or temple it is spoken. I think you're brilliant. How do I contact you? Why, thank you. And my ego thanks you, but please don't contact me for that reason. If you have any comments or suggestions about this website or anything contained in it, please feel free to email me.
